Dye Pack GPS tracker and exploding pack

This is a rare original $ 20 Federal Reserve decommissioned exploding dye pack and a GPS CASH TRACKER that the U.S. Bureau of Engraving used to track pallets of money while it was in transit from Fed to Fed, or to a banking institution. It was also used for bank robberies.

Security professionals require effective solutions to prevent crime and recover stolen assets. Dye packs are designed to be nearly indistinguishable from real currency, making them virtually unnoticed by robbers, who often don't realize they contain a dye pack.

Equipped with advanced electronics, the unit detects when the robber has exited the crime scene. After a preset interval, the Dye Pack releases a large cloud of red smoke and gas (which has been totally disarmed). This prompts thieves to abandon the stolen cash, while the dye and smoke aid law enforcement and witnesses in identifying the robber “red-handed.”

This partial pack was inserted in to the center of another cut out pack. The pack was then inserted into a pallet of currency for transport. The tracker would utilize GPS tracking technology to track.

This pack is made from real $ 20 Federal Reserve notes of U.S. Currency.

Bank robberies are as old as banking houses themselves. The teller would slip the tracker pack along with other packs of money and track you as well.

You can see the printed circuit board clearly on both sides of the partial pack. You can also see the cross stitch string that holds this cash tracker together.
It has a bar code on it. There are more engravings and various lettering. Everything seems intact. Lots of potential to research here.
