Jean-Charles Boisset was born into the world of wine in the village of Vougeot, Burgundy, France. His lifelong passion for wine began as a child growing up above the cellars and within view of the centuries-old vineyards of Château du Clos de Vougeot—the epicenter and birthplace of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. His parents founded the family winery in 1961 with an innovative and entrepreneurial spirit. Today the family collection includes wineries that share more than 20 centuries of combined winemaking heritage and tradition in some of the world’s most prestigious terroir. Jean-Charles continues to lead the family firm with a passionate commitment to fine wine, history, quality, and deep respect for the environment.

JCB XO Cognac is composed entirely of cognacs coming from the most prestigious sub district, the Grande Champagne area. Aged 38-42 years, the result is a cognac with distinction, complexity of aromas and tastes, and long flavors with balanced woody impressions. This exquisite Cognac XO contains the essence and superb qualities that are derived from its 10 years of rest in oak barrels for a true eau-de-vie to be savored and remembered.

Color: Polished mahogany with shades of gilded copper.

Nose: The nose expresses mature aromas such as toffee, black chocolate, blond tobacco, and hints of white flowers.

Palate: In the mouth, the XO is very smooth and nicely balanced by the powerful taste of fine and complex tannins. There is an extraordinary length.
